I'm back!

After not posting for about 4 months I'm back.

I'm sure you are all aware of that motherly stuff that we all fret about getting done. It seems that for each load of dirty laundry or dirty dishes that you wash, there's another bin of laundry waiting or sink full of dishes waiting. Just when you think you're caught up there's more, as if it's breeding. Then there's the sick kids, just when the last one gets better, and you think you've got a few weeks of health, some other bug hits with a new round sickness.

Anyhow take comfort in knowing, we all suffer through these tasks. Sometimes the hill that we must climb seems insurmountable. When I was in the thick of my PPD simple household chores seemed impossible. I was so tired and lacked motivation. The laundry piled up. I'd wash it, but it never seemed to make it back in the drawers. My living room looked like I needed bulldozer to shovel through the toys so I could get to the floor. (Okay, I admit won't get any awards for being a good housekeeper.) I couldn't sleep at night and that just made me more exhausted during the day.

It does get better, though. Slowly the chores manage to get done. The sleepless nights don't last forever. It's alright to let things go and take things at your own pace. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Psalm 30:5 "...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
